The development of Image Completion and Tutorial plug-ins for GIMP

Abstract

The primary aim of my project is to provide extra functionality to the GNU Image Manipulation Package (GIMP) by developing an automatic image completion plug-in for it. This plug-in will be based on recent research into fragment-based image completion algorithms. During this process I intend to also develop a comprehensive tutorial for writing general plug-ins for GIMP.
